CSD master planned the Clark County School District Wallace Transportation Facility on a 60-acre site in Las Vegas. The new steel framed, concrete tilt-up bus maintenance facility includes a fueling station, wash rack, 19,817 s.f. administration building, 40,030 s.f. vehicle maintenance building and bus parking for 257 vessels with expansion capabilities of the maintenance facility and total bus capacity of 500 vessels. The vehicle maintenance facility is a fully equipped, state-of-the-art facility that includes 16 bus maintenance bays, 4 full service bus lifts, a 5 and 10 ton hoisting crane and a hands-on mechanics training area. The septic system and condensate drainage are discharged into separate, on-site leach fields. Each leach field contains a 480 foot deep monitoring well for EPA water sampling and testing. The bus wash system is a closed loop wash water recycling system, which provided for zero water discharge.
