Clark County School District, Woodbury Middle School Replacement

Location:

Las Vegas, Nevada

143,144 SF

Size:

Woodbury Middle School was planned and constructed at approximately 142,000 SF and is targeted to serve 1,050 students. After the new campus opened, the existing school was removed and replaced with new fields and a play area.

The program organizes sixth, seventh, and eighth grade learning centers with dedicated spaces for administration, resource materials, student activity, physical education, fine and performing arts, theater, arts and technology, and maintenance and operations. Phase I opened for the 2025 to 2026 school year, with Phase II in winter.

The prototype emphasizes flexible collaboration around a centralized academic core with breakout rooms, team areas, and a media center.

A two way performance platform links the multipurpose gym and theater to expand programming. Campus planning favors a courtyard centric layout that supports outdoor learning, passive supervision, and strong adjacencies.

Durable, low maintenance materials pair with high performance strategies, including on site photovoltaic arrays, passive envelope measures, high efficiency MEP and lighting systems, and multiple water saving measures.

Tailored acoustic treatments and passive security through controlled access points and clear sightlines are integral to the design.
