The CSN Center for Excellence in Safety is a 62,750-square-foot, two-story facility designed to prepare the next generation of law enforcement and public safety professionals. As the first development on CSN’s Northwest Campus, it provides a cutting-edge environment where students engage in academic instruction, hands-on training, and real-world simulations to develop the skills necessary for their careers.
As the first building on CSN’s Northwest Campus, the building not only supports CSN’s Law Enforcement Academy, but also includes an Emergency Vehicle Operations Course. It also provides spaces to support general education requirements such as HyFlex classrooms, a library, and student services. Plans for a 30,000-square-foot expansion to accommodate Fire Training and Emergency Medical Services programs, will complete the future phase of the center for excellence.
A thoughtfully integrated site design maximizes north-south orientation, bringing natural light into classrooms and training spaces while enhancing energy efficiency. A memorial walk honoring fallen officers extends along the campus, leading to a tiered seating area that serves as a space for reflection and community gatherings.
Designed to be adaptive and forward-thinking, the CSN Center for Excellence in Safety provides an immersive training ground that equips students with the knowledge and practical experience needed for public safety careers.
