The client of this single-story office building located in the Las Vegas Technology Center wanted a simple, low maintenance building that reflected the values of their family owned company; Integrity, quality, workmanship and teamwork. We accomplished their goals by creating a very simple 13,000 sf single story building that lets the materials of their profession stand out. Honest materials of steel, concrete, glass and masonry are detailed well and used for what they are, not painted or covered with another medium.
AIA Western Mountain Region Juror Comments:
"The craft of things well made permeate this project. From beautifully textured tilt-up walls, weathered steel cladding, and shade trellis on the exterior to the interior rebar garden and custom furnishings of the lobby. Beyond its LEED Gold Certification, the project makes a clear statement about the company’s commitment to sustainability through the deployment of a PV array parking canopy, pervious concrete, and innovative use of recycled content. Kudos to both owner and design team."
This project is LEED Gold Certified.
