The client of this single-story office building located in the Las Vegas Technology Center wanted a simple, low maintenance building that reflected the values of their family-owned company; integrity, quality, workmanship, and teamwork. We designed a 13,000 square-foot single story building that allows for the materials of their profession to stand out. Honest materials of steel, concrete, glass, and masonry are detailed and used in a raw state, not painted nor covered with another medium.
Juror comments from the American Institute of Architects Western Mountain Region perfectly capture the design intent:
"The craft of things well made permeates this project. From beautifully textured tilt-up walls, weathered steel cladding, and shade trellis on the exterior to the interior rebar garden and custom furnishings of the lobby. Beyond its LEED Gold Certification, the project makes a clear statement about the company’s commitment to sustainability through the deployment of a PV array parking canopy, pervious concrete, and innovative use of recycled content. Kudos to both the owner and design team."
This project is LEED Gold Certified.
